Back Handspring Clinic
Back handsprings are center stage for cheer and at the heart of tumbling in gymnastics—you’ve got to have them and they need to be good! Come work with elite coaches, use progressive equipment and solid drills to build confidence one back handspring at a time.
This clinic is $30 and takes place on select Saturdays.
Pre requisites for back handspring clinic:
Strong round-off
Handstand snap down
Back walkover unassisted
Round-off Clinic
Join us for a round-off clinic designed to help athletes:
Improve speed, snap down and rebound
Master proper hurdle and hand placement
Build a stronger setup for back handsprings and beyond
Fix common form and technique issues
Round-off clinics are $25, one hour long and take place on select Saturdays.
Pre requisites for round-off clinic:
Consistent cartwheel with straight arms and legs
Handstand snap down
Basic understanding of a round off attempt (even if it is messy)
Back Walkover Clinic
Waynesville Gymnastics brings their decades of gymnastics training to help you master your back walkover or front walkover.
Trainings are $25 and take place on select Saturdays with two great coaches and all of the drills, mats and spotting you need to master this skill.
Pre requisites for a back and front walkover clinic:
Ability to hold a bridge with straight arms for 20 seconds.
Can kick over from a bridge on the ground without a spot
The flexibility in a bridge to press arm pits open, like the girl in the picture here on the beach
Can lunge back to a bridge from standing, with control
Cartwheel Clinics
This a foundational skill to round offs and other tumbling skills. You gotta have it! Clinics are $25 and take place on select Saturdays.
Pre requisites for the cartwheel clinic:
Ability to hold a handstand against the wall for 10 seconds with good arm strength
Understanding of right versus left side
